UFFE LORENZEN fronts BABY WOODROSE and SPIDS NOGENHAT but currently records and performs under his own name. He recently finished recording his second solo album at the beautiful STC studios in Copenhagen. Here he recorded seven original Lorenzen songs and a beautiful version of "Hallo Hallo Froken" by Danish musician Hans Vinding. Triprapport is the title, the album will be released on May 10th, 2019, of course on Bad Afro Records. Like the first Uffe Lorenzen solo album Galmandsværk from 2017, the new album takes the listener on a journey. Through space to an alien galaxy. To a Danish summerhouse where a row of birch trees are headbanging in the wind. Inside the sacred home of a female Inuit shaman. Ride the river and end up in death and rebirth. The inspiration for the new songs came to Uffe Lorenzen during a stay in a gazebo in the middle of nowhere. Uffe Lorenzen: "All the songs are written in a relatively short time, since I spent about 14 days alone in a borrowed garden house. It was September and the weather was pretty stormy, so the whole area was pretty much depopulated. In fact, I spent 2 weeks I hardly saw anyone else. For the first few days I just dabbled on the guitar and thought about how to start. But as soon as this peculiar loneliness set in, I ate all the mushrooms I had brought with me and the songs just kept coming ". Lorenzen sings and plays most of the instruments himself with a little help from Anders Kjærgaard (synth), Adam Dreisler (flute), Vicki Singh (sitar/tablas) and Peter Knudsen (lap steel). Tri-rapport was recorded and mixed analog to tape, meaning no cut and paste or use of Pro Tools is required. The first pressing of the LP is limited to 1500 black copies, due to the high advance sales before release, this second pressing will be available in red soon.
